Halloween is an American holiday. It is celebrated on October 31st. It is very popular in America, but nowadays lots of people in other countries celebrate Halloween, too. Halloween is famous for its special decorations. People decorate their homes with pictures of scary things like monsters, ghosts, vampires and witches, they also make jack-o´-lanterns (pumpkins with a face carved into them). On Halloween kids wear costumes and ask neighbours for sweets. This is called trick-or-treating. Many schools have Halloween parties with games. See more information in the classroom 8 B.
