VISIT FROM AMERICA

Our students had an opportunity to speak English to an American native speaker. Who is the native speaker? He is twelve-year-old Albert Apetauer, a foreign student in our school. He lives and studies in Boston in Massachusetts. He attends a public school called Gibbs School. Albert and his mum visited our school last week. He prepared an interesting lecture on the school system in America. He described his timetable – subjects, lessons, breaks, lunch. Albert told our children a lot of things about marks and duties - doing homework.

Albert also told students about Halloween and its celebration in America and at his school. He brought a lot of Halloween sweets and presents in Halloween bags.

Children heard differences between American English and British English.

We are looking forward to hearing from him soon.
